I designed, developed, and modified web pages for Purdue University.
Learning, doing, problem-solving
July/October 2019 ‐ Present
As the student web developer of Purdue University’s Honors College for over 2 years, I have completed numerous website updates for both the Honors College and National & International Scholarships Office (NISO). My work focuses mainly on using HTML and CSS to make website updates on content management systems.
Throughout the two years I’ve been in this position, I’ve used Dreamweaver, Visual Studio Code, Cascade, and WordPress as the website moved from system to system over time. Each time the website has undergone major backend changes, I’ve overcome exploring unfamiliar developer tools to complete tasks. I like to say that this position particularly taught me how to learn as a developer, because many of these initial experiences were brand new to me.
Some highlights I have for this position are:
As our first student web developer in the Purdue Honors College, Hannah set an extremely high bar for the position. Her work was both fast and thorough, and she was indispensable during the many website changes that were made necessary by the COVID-19 pandemic. She also came to the table with her own ideas and thoughtful suggestions for improvement. Hannah was a standout employee, and I would recommend her for any website development position."

As the student web developer of Purdue University’s Center for Intercultural Learning, Mentorship, Assessment, and Research (CILMAR) for over 2 years, I have completed numerous website updates, assisted with multiple projects, and worked on graphic designs. My work focuses mainly on using HTML and CSS to make website updates on the content management system, Cascade.
When I was first hired into this position, the CILMAR website was undergoing major website updates in both its design and structure, which required a great deal of my knowledge and skills. I helped construct the main navigation menu and homepage alongside the Senior Public Relations Consultant, Annette Benson, who headed the renovations project. I also handled internal website file organization. This position was my first time working on a website in a professional setting outside of my high school, so I had many significant experiences that built on my developing and marketing skills.
Another project I helped with was CILMAR’s “Step Up Zone” where I collaborated with a graphic designer to design the logo.
Some highlights I have for this position are:
Hannah Arnett ranks in the top 1% of student workers I have employed for her skills, dependability, and professionalism. Hannah’s greatest strength is her integrity."
